What's the process like?
Step 1
Property Survey
We begin all projects with a property visit to discuss your project with you in person. We will also take this chance to survey and measure both your land and your property.
Step 2
Proposed Design
Next we will produce a design strictly based on your needs. You will also get the opportunity to review the plans throughout the design phase to ensure that you're happy with everything.
Step 3
Planning Permission
When you're happy with the proposed plans, if required to; we will submit all plans and documents to your local planning authority on your behalf. We will also deal with any enquiries so you don't have to.
Step 4
Building Control
When planning permission has been granted we will produce the technical construction plans which will allow your builder to begin construction. If required to, we will also submit the building control application on your behalf and deal with any enquiries.
Step 5
Completion
Once all plans have been produced and the required approvals have been granted you will be given physical A1 copies and digital PDF copies of all plans. From here you are free to continue with your project at your own pace.

Questions
We aim to have plans drawn up in 1-4 weeks. However, for large and complex projects this may take longer.
Of couse, we understand that a property projects are big decisions. We will consult with you throughout the design phase and you will have the opportunity to make as many design changes as you wish. We want to ensure that your project is exactly how you want it.
Not always, this depends on the project type and its complexity. For single storey extensions and loft conversion you do not need planning approval.
When you have been given planning permission, you have up to 3 years to begin construction. If this time-limit has passed, you will have to re-apply.
After a planning application has been submitted, it can take up to 8 weeks to get a decision.
